The Red Hat Ladies

I've never seen a purple cow
I never hope to see one
But I can tell you now
I'd rather see than be one.

Today I saw a purple dress
And a red hat on a lady
And then I saw a herd of them
Have I lost it? I think, "maybe"!

If you should see a herd of them
I hope you never see one
Because I think that if you do
You just might want to be one.

We are the red hats

Everywhere we go
People want to know
Who we are
So we tell them.

Origin of our Chapter Name

Our chapter bandied about a lot of different names for our chapter before we finally settled on
Village Red Hatties. Doris T. thought the word "hat" should somehow be in the name and Ailene thought some derivation of "red" should be there so that's how we settled on Village Red Hatties.
