An excerpt from Warning, a poem by Jenny Joseph who started it all:
"When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me... But maybe I ought to practise a little now?..." Jenny Joseph
We are 40 ladies "of a certain age" who enjoy life to the fullest. We either live, work, or volunteer at Mason Christian Village, a continuing-care retirement community about 20 miles north of Cincinnati, Ohio. We are blessed to live in a retirement village where we all reap its many benefits, not the least of which is providing us with transportation to travel in style for our monthly outings. We want to share our enthusiasm with our Red Hat Society sisters across the nation and the world as we celebrate our golden years.

Miss Hattie, our walking remote-controlled mascot, was designed and dressed by Betty, our Delightful Duchess of Dolls. Miss Hattie was really in her element when attending all the national conventions from 2004 to 2007. There was just no holding her back and she just loved posing for all those pictures!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.

Queen Mum Shirley says: "Put the bubbles back in your life."
Rhinestone Cowgirl Jo joins Miss Hattie as our second remote-controlled mascot. She was designed and dressed by Sylvia, our Countess of Confections. Jo already has one convention under her belt when she and Miss Hattie wowed them at the 2007 national convention in Nashville, TN. Put your cursor on her and watch her morph into Miss Hattie!
